I was able to recently make a permanent tribute to my fascination with anatomy and the weird alike.
Meet the new girl in town.
By Jerry Ware at Atlas Tattoo.
Just wanted to share with you all my latest local obsession.
OK, now that you are acquainted…LET ME TELL YOU he is blowing hearts and minds and is not stopping any time soon.
He has chosen to share his mega-awesome-radical talent as an illustrator with you, and you and you too. Simply drawing on tee shirt with sharpies and BAM. Magic. But don’t get any ideas, kids. I am certain, that it just wouldn’t turn out the same if you tried this at home. Each tee is made to order, and custom requests are gladly accepted.
And now, here is where I apologize because this Michael Jackson tee will have to be in every shoot moving forward. I am sure as hell not ever taking it off. (kidding…maybe…)
Getcha ya own tee; you can enter his website above or here.

(Also note my absurd blue lipstick that I had to try out. DO NOT REPEAT unless you wish for the lady at the grocery store to point at you for an entire 30 seconds while pronouncing to the whole world what she sees in front of her)
Hey everyone! So it’s been one year and one hundred posts since Brick & Black first started this adventure. And in true anniversary fashion we decided to reminisce on this past year and compile some of our favorite pictures. That’s right folks, we’ve only just broken our first season and we are already doing a clip show. Enjoy!!!
We’ve done a lot of “walking away” shots but this is the all time best, simply because we were cracking up as we had to navigate through a minefield of doggy doo. Don’t worry we made it through free and clear.
Some of the best shots come out of nowhere. This kitty infiltrated the shoot and stole the show.
Hands downs (and hats off) one of our most fun shoots. (and proof that we DO smile)
Eye patch + Thore = one fun time
Natural lighting doing us a solid.
The best landscape
Our hands down favorite shoot.
Thank you to all of those who’ve followed us and enjoyed what we’ve been putting out there. This has been such a fun year for us and we look forward to continuing bringing our expression of style and fashion to you.
a special thanks to Grayling jewelry and Adam Arnold along with our family and friends. And a super duper special thanks to Mr. Peter Black of Counterpart Photo, we couldn’t do any of this with out you

After becoming obsessed with the Harajuku street style, we got all dressed up and had our own “Harajuku moment”. This is our little dedication to those kids that inspire us when they wake up each Sunday and find their way to Harajuku Station in Tokyo.
Here is a little Harajuku inspiration of your own:

I recently came across the awesome fashion blog, Advanced Style and just had to share. Advanced Style is run by Ari Seth Cohen who focuses on the amazing styles of fashionistas over 50. These women are truly inspiring. They’ve seen it all and worn it all. They are confidant, bold and remind me why I love fashion. I’m reminded of my own 95 year old grandmother who I don’t think I’ve ever seen without her pearls. Do yourself a favor and take a moment to check out Advanced Style, it will instantly brighten your day.
Ari Seth Cohen also has an Advanced Style book coming out soon featuring his photos and the fashion insights of the people behind the clothes. You can pre-order it here on Amazon. I’m definitely picking one up.
Fashion has no limits and knows no age.

A very special thank you to Kipp Knode and his ‘designer’ axes. I mean, who doesn’t wish they could carry this around with them through the foggy morning hillside.
